Happy Easter!

That's right. Screw candy, the fun's in making Dad run all over the backyard so great grandma doesn't have jelly beans hidden in her lawn until future archeologists excavate them in 2095. It was so fun watching Phinny hunt (read - go exactly where we pointed) for treasure. He pretty much nailed the egg hunt. Last Easter he was only 5 days old so this was a whole new world.

Of course the bunny stopped by our house. Bunny did me right. New face and body goodies for Mama (and 64 lbs of fibroids lovin candy), Flip flops and socks for Daddy (not intended for joint use) and a ball for baby Phin Phin. Don't know how this whole giant bunny business started on such a special, religious holiday but I won't complain.

Wondering why I'm always sitting in that same spot? Because I've only had this blog in cold weather and that's where the heater is.

Phin looks much cuter than me that early in the morning. We'll see if that still holds true in twenty six years Phin. (I'm guessing the answer will be yes. Stupid boy genes.)

There are several churches down the street from us that meet very early. Jared and I were glued to the window watching the parade of cute kids in their Easter duds head into church. It really was a perfect morning until there just wasn't enough time to get where we needed to go. We ended up hitting every red light in the world this morning and just missed something very special at church. We felt like idiots and I have some big apologies to make.

I love Easter. I love celebrating Christ. I'm grateful for my faith everyday but appreciate the special recognition his sacrifice receives this time of year. I'm eager to share that faith with my beautiful baby boy. Happy Easter!
