I'm such a seasonal reader.
Any Nathaniel Hawthorne book = Fall. Words are soupy and thick and go well with tea.
Great Gatsby/Tree grows in Brooklyn = Summer. Duh
Dickens = Winter, specifically Christmas. Sorry Dickens, you only wrote two Christmasish books but you're stuck there for me.
Secret Garden/Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe = Spring
Well this summer I'm bucking my own completelymadeup/makesnosense system and reading whatever I want. Try and stop me OCD.
Summer reading list
The Help Pretty sure I'm one of the last people on the planet to read this. Exciting.
The Psychopath Test
Just cause I have to know.
Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain Neurologic proof that my inability to keep a secret is the product of an internal, biological war? Yes, please and thankyou.
There's more where that came from. Anyone have a suggestion??
"Half Broke Horses" by Jeannette Walls -- a quick, fun read that will make you want to live the frontier life
ReplyDeleteI've heard of this book but had completely forgotten all about it. Thanks Em, adding it to the list!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a seasonal reader, too, and I'm not sure why.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about The Psychopath Test...could be interesting.
I randomly found your blog. Hello!
Hi Jordan! Seasonal reading is the best. Do it! Read the Psychopath test and tell me how it was. I think it's last on my mini list.
