I, Me, Mel crafted.

You're probably like, "Woman, you have blog, you have a kid, you seem to be God fearing. Duh. Of course you did. Isn't that what you people do?"

This people don't. I have serious attention issues when it comes to crafting. Just to put this into perspective, I was so proud I half completed a little painting I displayed it in my kitchen for three years. One, two, three years of pride over something I only spent an hour on tops that still had unfilled pencil tracings on it. It was a record.  Currently two thirds of my dining room chairs are recovered. It's been that way since Easter. My basement stairs have had painters tape on them for a year and half. Not painted. Not happening.

So when I saw this tutorial, I told myself I would do it. All the way baby. (Don't stress, not trying to bring back bad 80's slang. That was me talking to my child. I know he reads this.)

Phin ended up with glue in his hair, I sprayed myself in the face with orange paint, and Jared is all sorts of bummed over the book I chose.

Please Jared. Like you ever planned on reading about the Cartesian Revolution. Or maybe you did. In which case, my bad.

But really, my good.

Plus I made my favorite chowder today. And cleaned, so bam. Just as domestic as you think I should be.

  1. Wow. Watch out Martha! That is some seriously impressive crafting.

Guess what? I also did something crafty tonight. I took a knitting class! I generally hate things of that nature, but it turned out to be pretty fun. Will have to do a post on my scarf when, or should i say if, I finish it (ive been knitting for 3 hours and i've only got 6 inches, I guess that means i suck)!

  4. Mel - I just wanted to let you know that I passed along a little bloggy award to you! Not sure if you're interested in passing on the trend, but def wanted to make sure you saw your shout out! Happy Weekend! XOXO, Stephanie

PS: I am super impressed with your crafting. I'm a terrible crafter!

  5. T- I'm impressed and jealous! I have tried to learn to knot so many times but I just can't get the hang of it. I know this chick that makes her little girl the coolest stuff. She knit her a little sweater with a skull and cross bones pattern. Hardcore knitting.

Audrey - Make the soup! Then freeze it so after little dude makes his entrance, reheat, voila. Delish.

Faith - Jared's not buying it. So I am. Another copy of the stupid book that is.

Stephanie - Thank you! I'm so horrible at those things. I never know how to answer the questions and I'm too nervous to pass them on. Really, I suck. But thanks!!
